Info:

The Patek Philippe reference 2457 was released to replace the iconic reference 96 SC in 1949 and remained in production until 1958. The reference retained the same case shape and proportions as its predecessor and was made in yellow gold, stainless steel, platinum, pink and white gold. The caliber was a 27 SC with centre seconds housed in a Gerlach-made case and silvered Stern Freres dial. To date only about 60 examples in yellow gold have been known to the market. GOBBI, MILANO Raimondo Gobbi opened his first workshop in 1842 in Modena, Italy. In 1852 he was given the title Clockmaker to the Royal Court. Raimondo's son left for Milano to open a new shop in 1896 in the street Corso Vittorio Emmanuelle. The shop was destroyed in WWII but subsequently rebuilt. The company had a strong relationship with Patek Philippe and the business still exists in Milan.
